Summary:
This month we'll view the ISS, three planets, our own home galaxy and the 19th, 12th and 2nd brightest stars in the sky that form the Summer Triangle. Join us for a walk through the stars.
Detailed Description:

The International Space Station will zoom overhead, while the bight stars Deneb (19th), Altair (12th), and Vega (2nd) will form the summer triangle, a pattern in the sky known as an asterism.  Jupiter and its moons, glowing Venus, and Saturn with its marvelous rings will also be featured through our telescopes. Come join us for some evening stargazing on the hill in West Redding.

What to bring:  Please dress for the weather.  Bring a flashlight, as the walk to/from the observatory is dark. If you have them, lawn chairs and binoculars are welcome, insect repellent is recommended. For those with smartphones, there is a possibility that photos off the telescopes can be taken during the program. 

Program Fees:  Members to NPF and the Discovery Center: $4 per person with a $16 maximum for a family
                           Non-Members: $6 per person with $24 maximum for a family
