 "Why is today today and not some other day" The history, mechanism and astronomical basis for common - and not so common - calendar systems is use today and in the past.

How does our calendar work?  How was it developed? What is a lunar, lunar solar and solar calendar?  What is the difference between the Moslem, Jewish, Chinese and western calendars in use today?  Are there other types of calendars?  Will our calendar always be the same or will it change at sometime in the future?

Program fee:  New Pond Farm and Discovery Center Members:  $10 pp
                       Non-members:  $15 pp
