Detailed Description:

Just 15 minutes can make a huge difference in the way your neighborhood will look.  Encourage your whole family and friends to help out.  Maybe have a neighborhood get-together before or after.

Refuse Bags & Vests:  The Parks and Recreation Department (195 Danbury Road)  and the Chamber of Commerce (13 Grove St.) have refuse bags.  Also, Parks and Recreation has safety vests to loan out, but please remember to return them.

Collection points.  Please take your filled refuse bags to:  Farmingville Elementary School - 324 Farmingville Road, East Ridge Middle School - 10 East Ridge, Ridgefield High School -700 North Salem Road; or the Fox Hill Lakes Area (check with Chamber for precise location). The Highway Department will pick up the filled bags on Mon. April 11th.

What you should wear:  Safety vests (see above) and if not available very bright clothing like hunter's orange, gloves & boots for protection.  Please keep an eye out for traffic.

What not to collect:  Hazardous materials (paints, batteries, etc.) and large applicances will not be accepted.

The program is sponsored by Town of Ridgefield, RACE, Conservation Commission, & the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce.

This is not a specific program by the Discovery Center at Ridgefield but a Public Service Announcement.
