April Guilded Bird Walk
This event has already taken place.
Check out our calendar for more great events.
April is the time of year when the Red-tail hawk has built its nest and is now sitting on a clutch of 1-4 eggs. These are some of the earliest breeders. Others like the Red-winged blackbird are just arriving from their wintering grounds and staking out territory. The quiet of winter mornings is now replaced with the songs of courting and some territorial arguments. Come join us as we take a walk through the woodland looking for and listening to the the sights and sounds of spring.
To join us does not require a PhD in Ornithology or any experience at all. Just a willingness to explore and learn about our feathered neighbors.
