Cornbread stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey - add a healthy helping of gravy and it won't be Thanksgiving without that extra slice of pumpkin pie! And then there are all those leftovers! So maybe it is time to get in a little physical exercise. Or maybe its just time to walk away from the computer or TV set and discover the world beyond the window. Either way, you are invited to join us as we wander down the Rail Trail and discuss its history. The trains on the Ridgefield to Branchville line carried passengers from 1870 - 1925 and freight till 1964. On April 20, 1905 at 8:20AM Tragedy Struck! The Press's Headline recorded it as "Horan's Tragic End". Come join us for a little history and exercise.
All Ages Welcomed: This is an easy family hike. The Rail Trail surface is consistent and nicely groomed. It is a perfect trail for strollers.
Directions: The Rail Trail has several access points. Meet us at the end of Halpin Lane, Ridgefield. Parking is available behind the Guild of Artists center.
