Summary:
Wild turkeys leave lots of signs in the woods! Come and see how many you can find on our Turkey Hike. Learn some of their secrets and try your hand at a turkey call - All Ages Welcome!
Detailed Description:

Did you know the gobble of a wild turkey can be heard up to one mile away!  Join us as we look for their tracks and signs during our exploration of their favorite woodland habitats.  What do they eat and where do they spend the winter?  Feel a few of their feathers, and learn how they roost to protect themselves at night.

Also, try your hand at one of our turkey call!  We will have three different kinds of calls for you to try and maybe we will hear some turkeys calling back!

All Ages Welcome

What to wear & Bring:  Sturdy shoes with pants tucked into socks

Cost:  Members are free, Non-members $7 per person

Location:  Hemlock Hills Open Space, Bogus Road Entrance - Take Ridgebury Road north to Ned's Mountain Road (at points this road is very narrow) and follow to intersection of Bogus Road.  Entrance  is on the right.  Or take George Washington Highway to Old Mill Road continue straight and it will turn into Ned's Mountain Road.  Hemlock Hills will be at the intersection of Bogus Road on the left.
