Detailed Description:

This evening program will show participants a number of beautiful star clusters, gaseous nebulae and galaxies, plus Mercury is now visible through our telescopes.  Jupiter and its moons are still in the early evening sky and provide an unforgettable sight.  Participates will learn about the winter constellations such as Orion, Taurus the Bull, the Gemini Twins and the goat herder Auriga. The stars of the Winter Circle will be pointed out.  Please come join us and learn about the winter's night sky and its wonders.  As a bonus, hot chocolate will be served in the warm observatory.

What to bring:  Please dress very warmly and bring a flashlight for the walk from the parking area to the observatory - Optional:  Lawn chair & binoculars

Program Fees:  Members to New Pond Farm and the Discovery Center:  $4 per person with a $16 maximum for a family
                              Non-Members:  $6 per person with $24 maximum for a family
